Practical Skills Production

This unit has been discontinued from the HND in Media.

This unit enabled students to understand the practical skills essential for production personnel. They were given the opportunity to work in teams, enabling them to build skills for future production work. They were encouraged to investigate the range of production skills required throughout the media industry and to understand both traditional and digital working methods.

Students used new and traditional techniques on production methods in order to tell involving and dimensional stories.

Delivery

Students practiced their skills in production modules with input on their practical skill development. As a result, they developed their understanding of team-work with planned exercises and/or practical activities generated through practical assignments or set briefs. They were also required to evaluate their own and the team performance.
